The local English language Regional Paper for Costa Almeria comes out every Friday and can be purchased from the newspaper kiosk at Centro Comercial . This is next to Banco Popular and the courtyard Cafe Restaurant which opens onto Avenida Andalucia, the main road which takes you back up the hill inland to Mojacar Old Town.

The local Anglophone paper contains accurate up to date telephone and contact information about Emergency and Essential Services, and a events diary for local attractions that will co-incide with your stay.

The kiosk also sells yesterday's English tabloid and broadsheet papers and same day international editions of some (mainly The Times)

Maps

Road Atlas for Airport-Resort Driving Directions

Whether you are using your own SatNav , AA Directions or our DriveGuide for the airport transfer to the resort, I would recommend the following Michelin Maps. If you fly into Alicante Airport, 577(Regional Espana) Comunidad Valenciana, Murcia and 578(Regional Espana):Andalucia. If you fly into Almeria Airport, you only need 578

Local Tourist Maps

A couple of maps of Mojacar Playa are obtainable from the hexagonal Tourist Information booth which is situated at the beach side of the Avenida del Mediterraneo just past the Parque Comercial (towards Garrucha). This is just past the roundabout which annexes the Avenida Andalucia, the link road which takes you back up the hill towards Mojacar Old Town
